Brothers arrested in Tilburg fatal hit-and-run
Two men were arrested in connection with a hit-and-run accident that left two people dead in Tilburg on Thursday night. The owner of the car was arrested as well as his brother, who the police believe may have been driving the car, Omroep Brabant reports.
The accident happened on Bredaseweg in Tilburg. A 62-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman, both from Rijen, were crossing the street near a bus stop when the car hit them. The cr drove off. The man and woman died at the scene. A witness told Omroep Brabant that the man ended up partly in a parked car due to the force of the collission. Attempts to resuscitate the victims were to no avail.
A witness saw the blac car with broken windshield speed through Korenbloemstraat and was able to give the police a partial license plate. The car was found empty later on Thursday night.
