Man shot near Osdorp primary school

A man was wounded in a shooting on Iwan Kantemanplein in Amsterdam's Osdorp on Tuesday morning. Eyewitnesses claim the shooting happened near primary school Horizon, AT5 reports. The victim was wounded in the arm. The police are looking for the perpetrators. They were dressed in black and fled on a three-wheel scooter. Many parents were dropping their kids off at school when the shooting happened. Several children witnessed it. Parents and children fled into the school and the doors were locked. According to AT5, a large part of the square is closed down for investigation. A trauma helicopter was sent to the scene. A burning car was found near the square. It is currently still unclear whether the car is connected to the shooting, though it does fit the pattern of many other Amsterdam shootings.
