Dutch theme park alert to possible terrorism threats; no reason to panic

Theme park Efteling released a statement saying that they "are always alert to abnormal or aberrant" issues around the park. This statement follows reports that the theme park was named as the possible target of a terrorist attack in June. At this stage there is no reason for concern, according to the park. On Thursday morning it was revealed that the police arrested a woman in Werkendam in June on suspicion of participation in an organization with terrorist intent. She and others discussed committing an attack at Efteling. "We can imagine that this news creates unrest." the theme park writes in a statement. "The threat level was not adjusted in response to this news. The government determines the threat level in the Netherlands and informs Efteling and other parties proactively as needed. We as Efteling have closed contact with the intelligence services."
