Some 3,000 chickens on Dutch highway after crash; A2 closed

The A2 highway from Maastricht to Eindhoven is closed on Tuesday morning after an accident left about 3 thousand chickens wandering the road, ANP reports. According to traffic information from ANWB, a truck carrying live chickens overturned near Eindhoven, setting the birds free to roam. The main lane near the De Hogt junction is completely closed. Cars on the A2 are being guided over the parallel lane. But the ANWB advises motorists to use a different route.
