Labour party moving to cheaper offices

The PvdA found a new, cheaper location for their party offices. The party leadership will be using the former ING offices on Haarlemmerweg in Amsterdam-West from early September, party chairman Hans Spekman said on Facebook. Spekman previously stated that he is more than eager to leave the offices on the Herengracht, partly because of the 500 thousand euros a year they cost in rent. But the PvdA signed a lease contract that only ends in 2018. The PvdA now found a new tenant for their current offices willing to take over the lease. The party chairman is pleased with the new location and that the PvdA will still be in Amsterdam, at least until the end of the new contract in September next year. "The new location is much cheaper and easily accessible. So I am very happy!"
