Vandals arrested in Leiden for early morning destruction spree

With reporting by Liam De Troch Two 18-year-old men from Lisse and Boskoop were arrested in Leiden during the early hours of Friday morning for vandalism, the police said in a statement on their website. Around 3.25 am the police received a report on two young men causing a trail of destruction from the bridge at Noordeinde. The suspects tipped over different objects including, bicycles and patio tables. They also broke a window. The police followed this trail and encountered the two young men at intersection between the Ter Haarquay and De Haagweg. One of the suspects attempted to flee from the police but was detained eventually. Both suspects were arrested and taken to the police station.
