Digital train tickets now available in NS Xtra app

NS launched a new version of their app NS Reisplanner Xtra, which gives travelers the option of buying digital train tickets, NU.nl reports. A single ticket can be bought via iDeal. The app then displays a QR code that can be used to open gates at stations and shown to the conductor. Before this app update, digital tickets could only be bought on the NS website and had to be printed out. The NS Reisplanner Xtra app can be downloaded from Google Play for Androids and the App Store for iPhones.
