Aeromexico launches 3 weekly flights between Amsterdam and Mexico

Aeromexico, the largest airline in Mexico, now flies to Schiphol. The airline now offers three direct flights a week between Amsterdam and Mexico city, the airline announced in a press statement. The first Aeromexico flight landed at Schiphol on May 30th. The Netherlands fourth EU nation the Mexican airline flies to. According to Anko van der Werff, chief revenue officer for Aeromexico, the airline is proud to add Amsterdam to their route. "Thanks to this new flight we can offer all our customers traveling from the Netherlands excellent service on board the Boeing 787 from now on", Van der Werff said in the statement. "The night flights in both directions offer travelers the opportunity to spend the whole day in Mexico City and Amsterdam." One important factor in Aeromexico choosing Schiphol is the fact that Amsterdam is a significant hub for SkyTeam - a global airline alliance of which Aeromexico is one of the founding members. KLM also offers flights to a large number of destinations from Schiphol, so the Mexican airline can offer step over services to its customers to and from cities like Brussels, Zurich, Geneva, Vienna and Stockholm. "A warm welcome to Aeromexico!" Schiphol CEO Jos Nijhuis said. "We are very pleased that Aeromexico chose Amsterdam as its fourth destination in Europe." Nijhuis calls it a nice "gift" for Schiphol's 100th birthday on September 10th. "Connectivity is very important at the present time, and our aspiration is to be a world leader in this field. Amsterdam Airport Schiphol thanks Aeromexico for its patronage. We look forward to a long and successful relationship."
