Bullied Dutch teen scores acclaim, YouTube hit singing “At Last”

Dutch teen Nick Nicolai is getting international attention after his Holland's Got Talent audition hit the internet. The bullied 18-year-old boy even reached the attention of American entertainment blogger Perez Hilton, who heaped praise on him in a recent blog. Nicolai appeared on the Dutch reality show and told the judges how he found solace in music and singing after facing bullying at school due to his weight. "I can put all my emotions into a song", he said to the judges, before blowing them away with his rendition of At Last by Etta James. "Despite outward appearances, a high-pitched voice and a true underdog story, he came away a real star", Perez Hilton wrote in a recent blog. "Immediately, on the very first not, Nocolai won over the entire audience with a soulful, high-pitched rendition of the amazingly vibrant classic song."
