Joran van der Sloot writing book on Natalie Holloway; again confesses to murder

Joran van der Sloot is working on a book about his life, in which he will describe everything surrounding the disappearance of American teen Natalee Holloway, RTL Nieuws reports. The interviews in which Van der Sloot again confesses to Holloway's murder was broadcast on RTL on Thursday. Van der Sloot gave the interview to crime journalist John van de Heuvel, who recorded it with hidden cameras, in February. The interview happened in the Challapalca prison in Peru, where he is serving a 28 year sentence for the murder of Stephanie Flores. Van der Sloot said to the crime journalist, “I am guilty of everything I did.” When asked if this also applies to Natalee Holloway, he answers: “Yes, yes, there too I am guilty and I accept that.” He also reveals that he is working on a book about his life. "If that is published, I'll be extradited to Aruba", he said. Holloway disappeared on Aruba. Van der Sloot was always a suspect in her disappearance, but the authorities were unable to make a case against him. It is difficult to say how reliable this latest confession is, as it is not the first confession he made. He previously extorted money from Holloway’s mother by offering to confess if she paid him and in 2008 he confessed in a video set up by Dutch crime reporter Peter R. de Vries. In an interview with Fox that same year he said he sold the girl as a sex slave. He later claimed that both confessions were made up for attention and/or money.
