Rush hour drivers warned of dense fog, heavy traffic

Morning traffic in the east, center and south of the Netherlands will have less visibility due to dense fog on Wednesday, In some places visibility is less than 200 meters. Around Veluwe there is even less than 100 meters visibility, according to WeerOnline. The fog will particularly affect rush hour traffic in Utrecht, Overijssel, Gelderland, Noord-Brabant and Limburg, according to the weather service. Visibility should improve as the fog dissipates during the course of the morning. The KNMI issued a code yellow warning for poor visibility. The warning is in effect until 9:00 a.m. The meteorological service warns motorists to keep a safe following distance and adjust their speed. The rest of the morning is expected to be sunny with some clouds. Afternoon temperatures will be between 13 and 17 degrees. There may be some showers later in the afternoon.
