Seven Iraqi migrants found hidden in Hungarian’s truck

A 36 year old Hungarian truck driver was arrested in Venlo on Tuesday after seven Iraqi stowaways was found hiding in his truck, the Koninklijke Marechaussee - a policing force working as part of the military - announced on Wednesday. A branch of the National Police searched the truck in a parking lot in Venlo after receiving reports of knocking sounds coming from inside. Inside they found the stowaways, all men from Iraq between the ages of 17 to 25. They applied for asylum and were referred to the reporting center. The Marechaussee stepped in and arrested the truck driver on suspicion of human trafficking. The investigation continues.
