Investigators find €1 million in trunk of car at gas station

Police in Rotterdam found 1 million euros in cash in the trunk of a car at a gas station along the A13 on Sunday night. Officers arrested the driver and confiscated the cash. The man will appear before the magistrate on Wednesday facing charges of money laundering. Police tracked the car after receiving a tip-off that the vehicle was carrying drugs in the trunk. Officers found and searched the vehicle at the service station and a 56-year-old Brit was arrested. The suspect was taken to the police station for interrogation. The source of the money is currently under investigation, reported the police website
