Teen boy suspected in death of sister, mother & grandmother

The police have confirmed that the suspect arrested in connection with the three bodies found in Veghel on Tuesday is a 17 year old boy, the family's son. He is suspected of killing his mother, sister and grandmother. The police have also identified the victims as the 50 year old resident of the house, her 10 year old daughter and her 67 year old mother. Neighbors identified the victims to Omroep Brabant as the suspect's mother Neriman Soysal, his sister Adilenur and his grandmother Hatun. So far the police have not given any details on how the victims were killed or the motive behind the crime. Officers are still busy with an extensive trace evidence investigation in the home on Fazantendonk. Acquaintances of the family told the Telegraaf that the boy's life was turned upside down when his father died of carbon monoxide poisoning in Turkey a year or two ago and that he became increasingly introverted. The acquaintances described the father as a fantastic artist. "The son always copied him. His father was an example for him. He was devastated by his death. After the death of his father, he locked himself away from the outside world more and more." Neighbors described the family to the AD as quiet, "ordinary people" without any known problems. A spokesperson for the municipality of Veghel told the newspaper that they were not known to any welfare and aid organizations.
