Murder target's associate given protection

A friend and associate of assassinated Dutch-Turkish criminal Baris Onder was transferred from the prison in Nieuwegein to another, secret location on Thursday. This was done for his own safety - there is a danger of an attack on his life. This associate's lawyer, Bart Stapert, confirmed the transfer to the Telegraaf on Thursday night. The transfer happened on the same day that Onder's widow survived an attack on her life. The 27 year old woman was shot four times in Amsterdam-Osdorp around 01:00 a.m. on Thursday. She was rushed to the hospital in unknown condition.
