Town plans rally for local Germanwings victim

Friends of Iris Claassen (20), who died in the Germanwings plane crash last week, are holding a memorial walk in Deurne tonight, ED reports. Participants of the march will gather on the Wolfsberg at 18:45 tonight. Mayor Hilko Mak will give a short speech at the Hema establishment where Claassen worked. The participants will walk via Antoon Coolenlaan, Maassingel and Hagelkruisweg towards Peelkamp and Claassen's childhood home. The route then goes via Arendbroek and Zeilbersestraat towards the social cultural center Den Draai, where the march ends. The municipality advises participants to walk or ride their bikes to the march as it is expected to be very busy. Iris Claassen was the only Dutch victim in the Germanwings plane crash that took the lives of 150 people.
