Dozens to testify in jihadi trials

The lawsuit against suspected terrorists Oussama C., Azzedine C. and Rudolph H. will only be tried in September, because many of the about 50 witnesses still need to be questioned, AD reports. Judge Elkerbout announced this morning that the case will be tried after the summer in a pro-forma session. The three suspects were not present at this morning procedure, because they did not want to go through the humiliating process of being strip searched before and after the hearing. According to one of their lawyers, Michiel Pestman, these searches did not happen before the attacks in Paris. The suspects' lawyers also requested that their clients be released so that they can await their trail in freedom. According to the lawyers, the suspicions against them do not justify spending so many months in custody in the terrorist departments of the prisons. The lawsuit against suspected terrorists Anis Z. and Hatim R. will appear this afternoon, even though they are currently in Syria. Soufiane Z. and Driss D. will also be tried. Both of these suspects were killed a few weeks ago in a battle for the Syrian city Koabane. They were probably killed by an American bombardment.
