Over 1.1 million people switch health insurance for 2015

Over 1.1 million people in the Netherlands switched to a new health insurance provider for 2015, reveal figures released on Wednesday. The number constitutes 6.8 percent of the total number of insurance customers, which is a 0.2 percent increase from the predicted change released in January, reports AD. The figures were released by health insurance information center Vektis, Scheduled for release in April, a detailed analysis of all the insurance changes should inform customers whether their deductible will increase or decrease and advise them on whether they might in the future take out a different insurance, such as a budget plan, according to AD. The number of people switching insurance rose from 2014, when only 6.5 percent selected new insurers. In 2013, the number was higher, with 7.2 percent making a change.
