Man shot leaving Amsterdam postal center

A man was shot on Australiëweg in the Westelijk Havengebied of Amsterdam around 11:00 p.m. Tuesday. The incident occurred not far from a postal sorting office. According to a police spokesperson, the victim was taken to the hospital, AD reports. The perpetrator is still at large. The police are looking for a light-skinned man in a dark-colored car. The are has been closed off for a trace evidence investigation. It is not yet clear whether this is another attempted execution connected to the gang war that has been raging in Amsterdam.
