Duo arrested for burning man to death

The police arrested a 35 year old woman and a 27 year old man from Esch this morning in connection with the death of the 46 year old Syrian Rachid Dardari, whose burning body was found in the woods in Boxtel in November last year. They are suspected of involvement in his death. According to Omroep Brabant, the suspects are the victim's wife and brother-in-law. The investigation team is now focused on questioning the two suspects. The police are conducting investigations in both the home of the male suspect (on Wilibrodusweg) and the home of the couple (on Groenstraat). The couple's three children are currently staying elsewhere. Dardari's burnt body was found in a wooded area on Molenwijkseweg in Boxtel on November 17th. Given the circumstances in which the body was found, the police assume that a crime had been committed and did an extensive investigation in the woods. The police were only able to identify the body on November 25th, after they distributed two pictures of the man.
