Anderlecht fans fundraising for new Ajax clubhouse

Supporters of the Belgian football team R.S.C. Anderlecht is starting a crowdfunding effort to help Ajax fans rebuild their burnt down clubhouse. The clubhouse went up in flames last week, and police say arson caused the blaze. "Following the fire that destroyed the 'Honk,' we will organize crowd funding to support Ajax", say Anderlecht supporters on one of their fan websites. The movement is building up momentum, but has not yet begun. Anderlecht fans say they are setting up a separate bank account to collect donations. The supporters of both clubs have a long-standing friendship. When Ajax played against Paris Saint Germain at home, Anderlecht fans headed north to Amsterdam to backup hardcore Ajax fans expecting riots to break out in the city, AT5 reported. The fire ripped through the Honk just days before the fierce rivalry match between Feyenoord Rotterdam and Ajax was scheduled to take place in the Amsterdam ArenA. The match ended in a 0-0 draw.
