Over 50 tablet computers stolen from elementary school

A burglar in Breda gave elementary school students an unpleasant start to the new year by stealing 52 tablet computers designed for the school's e-learning programme. The theft took place early Friday morning at De Tweesprong school on Kapelstraat in Breda, Noord-Brabant, police said in a statement. The tablets were tailored to the school's needs, with 47 of them totally unusable outside of the school's online network. All of these are manufactured under the brand name "Snappet," police say. According to the police the burglary took place in between 8:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Friday. The perpetrators came in through the back of the school building. Investigators have not said how many suspects are involved. They are asking for witnesses to come forward with any information.
