Favorite Dutch gameshow Lingo returning to TV

The game show Lingo will return to television next summer. The earlier talk of a summer edition has been confirmed, says presenter Lucille Werner in an interview with De Telegraaf. For a few weeks Lingo will fill the summer break of De Wereld Draait Door. For this summer edition Lucille will travel through the country to play the language game on location. It is not clear whether this summer edition is a one time thing or if the game show will remain on Dutch television. Lingo had to step down after 25 years due to disappointing ratings. In the program participants have to guess words and scramble for balls for a kind of bingo card. The first broadcast was in 1989 with Robert ten Brink as presenter. He was followed by Francois Bolnge, Nance Coolen and finally Lucille Werener.
