PM Rutte's Collective Bargaining remark raises questions

D66 Member of Parliament Steven van Wyenberg wants clarification on Prime Minister Mark Rutte's remarks on simplifying collective bargaining agreements. On Monday Rutte said at the BNR that as Prime Minister he has no opinion on collective bargaining and whether they can be simplified. But as an interested citizen he can imagine that there are interesting opportunities, De Telegraaf reports. "For example, to ensure that collective bargaining is less 'solidified distrust' and to look more at what they can contribute to innovation." Paul Ulenbelt (SP) thinks that Rutte went wrong with his statements. He tweeted: "Rutte: away with collective bargaining. He says as... citizen. What a mistake. A Prime Minister Unworthy."
