Almere train cancellations cont. all day

Due to anticipated work on the railway there will be no trains running between Almere and Weesp all day. The trains were supposed to be running again by yesterday, but due to various setbacks more time is required for the work. Work is underway at Muiderberg junction, where the A1 and A6 come together. At the junction the A1 is being widened, which means that a new railway bridge is needed as the current bridge is too narrow. Due to the work no sprinters have been running between Almere and Weesp since Saturday. The NS has provided buses to drive between Almere and Weesp. Travelers can expect a delay of between 15 and 30 minutes in travel time.
