Police take blame in fatal arson; didn’t respond to call

The police acted wrongly after a conversation with the later murdered musician Arjun Autar from Rotterdam. Early on the Tuesday morning of June 10th the musician called the 112 center of the police and asked for help. The line went dead. The police did not visit his residence on Putselaan at the time. Autar was found dead later that morning after a fire started at his home. An internal investigation of the police and justice shows that a working error was made. "The police regrets the error." the Public Prosecutor announced on Wednesday. The 21 year old suspected of being involved in Autar's death was released on Tuesday. The other suspect (18 year old) was released a few weeks ago. "Both men remain suspects in this crime, but there is currently insufficient evidence to bring the case successfully to court." the Public Prosecutor said regarding the releases. A 10 thousand euro reward is offered for tips that lead to a successful prosecution of the perpetrator/s of this crime.
