40-yr-old gets week in jail for sex with niece, 8, friend, 7

In Nijmegen, a 40-year-old man was arrested and charged with engaging in sexual relations with his 8-year-old niece and her then-7-year-old friend, Omroep Gelderland reports. The man, from Hoorn, has been convicted to 278 days in jail for the crime. Of these days, 270 are conditional, with a test period of five years and 240 hours of community service. The man is also required to receive psychiatric treatment. According to Omroep Gelderland, the man was visiting his brother. He went into the bathroom with the two girls. According to the court, evidence reveals that there was bodily penetration, among other acts. The man also touched the children inappropriately.
