New Dutch car brand debuts electric roadster

A Dutch car brand is taking automobile aesthetics back to the 50s and 60s with its new model. Carice has debuted its first car, called the MK1, which is a light, fully electric two-seater cabriolet. Carice, based in Delft, has built the fully electric roadster which, according to the manufacturer, weighs 350 kg road-ready. Carice promises that driving the MK1 is like driving a sports car, due to its light weight. The design of the car is reminiscent of the classics. The vehicle looks like a Porsche 550 Spyder roadster from the 1950s. The MK1 will be available to purchase, from a limited stock, from Saturday the 21st of June from €26,620 including vat. This is the basic price. If the buyer wants to add special features, the price will go up. Carice will give its customers the choice of battery package size, and whether a range-extender should be included. The manufacturer also has a 'junior version' of the MK1, which people aged 16 and over can drive. https://twitter.com/VanderLitCom/status/479229116882104320
