World Cup predictions in Netherlands v. Spain 'revenge' match

A stunning Dutch victory over Spain. Our match recap is now live. Oranje will make its debut in the World Cup against Spain. It will be a decisive match that will set the tone for both teams' World Cup 2014 careers and, of course, will give The Netherlands a chance to even the score after the team was defeated in the 2010 World Cup final by Spain. There is some careful pre-game speculation happening on Twitter that wants to see The Netherlands win, in principle as revenge for 2010. The team is young and relatively inexperienced, however. On the Spanish side, Iker Casillas has been goalkeeper at 154 international games, and center defense Sergio Ramos has appeared 116 times. In contrast, the Dutch team has a lot of young players who have not yet seen international action such as De Vrij, Janmaat and Martins Indi. Robin van Persie, Arjen Robben and Wesley Sneijder are counted on as seasoned players to try and even it out. The 'big four' is missing Rafael van der Vaart, however, who is injured. Coach Van Gaal is starting with a 5-3-2 formation, which is a new system that the coach introduced only a few weeks ago. The match will kick of at 9 p.m. Dutch time tonight.
