Couple robs pensioner of €73,000

An 84-year old man from The Hague was robbed of all his savings in the last month, which amounts to around €73,000. The police is saying that most of this was swindled from him in a casino. The suspects are a couple from The Hague, who built up a level of trust with the man, and were able to siphon the pensioner's savings from him on an almost weekly basis. The man's daughter is the one who caught on to what was happening, and took her father to the police to file a report. Police investigation revealed that all the savings were lost. The two suspects were caught last week. The 55-year old man and the 58-year old woman say that they did not swindle the man.
