Recounts called in A'dam-West
Nine polling stations in Amsterdam-West have got to do a recount of votes. The Municipal Council announced Wednesday.
The commission responsible for investigating the votes judged that some mistakes may have been made in the voting stations. The PvdA requested a recount of the votes.
It is not about the votes cast for the municipal council, but for the governing board commission which will take the place of the city-quarters council.
On Wednesday 19th March, nine polling stations counted more voters than votes. In total, there were a 100 people who did vote, but for some reason their votes were not counted.
The municipal council unanimously agreed to recount the votes in the city-quarter West. The CDA in Amsterdam-South-East also asked for a recount of the votes, but there was too little support for this.
