Four arrested for kidnapping

Police have arrested three men and one woman for the kidnap of a 52-year-old man in Deventer on Monday.

The four had grabbed the man and threw him into a car at Middenrij; witnesses alarmed police and it took the officers only ten minutes to track the car. When the suspects stopped outside a restaurant and one of them got out, the kidnapped man managed to escape and run inside. Police then swiftly arrested three of the kidnappers; the fourth surrendered shortly after. The four -three men aged 24, 25 and 41 from Weesp and a 54-year-old woman from Deventer- are stillin custody. Police say it is not clear why they kidnapped the man.
