Two apprehended after dead baby found

A man and a woman were apprehended in Eindhoven on Monday evening in relation to the discovery of a dead baby earlier in the day. The two are suspected of possible involvement in the death of the child, a spokesperson for the police says. The pair were arrested at around 7:45 p.m. in a home on the Klunderstraat in Strijp. A passer-by found the body of the baby in a bag at around 3 p.m. in an alleyway behind the home. The police can't say if the suspects are the parents of the child. They are in a court hearing. There is still no information about the cause of death of the baby. The spokesperson hopes to be able to shed more light on that on Tuesday, after an autopsy. In the suspects' home, the police was busy with an investigation on Monday. "This is as a result of tracks we found in and around the home", the spokesperson said.
