Paradiso voted best music venue

The 46-year old Paradiso has been voted to best music venue in the Netherlands by the public. Second and third place went to 013 in Tilburg and Tivoli in Utrecht, respectively. The VPRO announced this Thursday. The initiative for the poll came from the programme 3voor12. Music lovers and club hoppers had a month's time to cast their votes.

There were more names from Amsterdam on the list. The Heineken Music Hall came in 17th pace, and the Ziggo Dome came in 10th. De Melkweg came in sixth place. Up for consideration were items like programming, best sound, best audience and nicest backstage area. Almost 6000 people took part in the vote. See the entire list here.
