Rotterdam Centraal construction wraps up

In one week, the brand spanking new Rotterdam Centraal train station will be finished. It will be opened by King Willem-Alexander. Jan Benthem, the architect of the station, said "there are still some small things, but of course I'm not going to tell the King that." Visitors to the new building only have rave reviews. "I think it's very beautiful and I can find everything easily" said one woman.

Next to all the compliments, there is more good news. The station will be ready on schedule and construction stayed within budget. "I'm also working on the stations at Utrecht, Den Haag and Amsterdam", the architect tells. "I started Rotterdam last, but it's ready first. Typical of Rotterdam." Amongst all the positive, one man did have a negative. "It's a bit draughty."
