Police prepare for Friday protests

The 'National Campaign 2013' platform wants to cause nationwide disruptions Friday to draw attention to government policies, and campaign against the EU. Police are closely monitoring the preparations to assess if any additional measures are needed.

The website of the platform already listed at least 30 protests and demonstrations on Thursday. The initiators use the various social media to call people to protest against a variety of cuts. Some of the protests involve truck drivers springing into action on the freeways. The platform claims not to have a political preference and their website features a set of rules to abide. Roads and intersections may not be blocked, and the protest location needs to be cleaned up after use.
