Serial killer confesses to 2010 murder

Patrick S. has admitted to his involvement in the murder of Farida Zargar in 2010 at the court of justice in The Hague on Wednesday. S., has always denied having anything to do with it, and even lodged an appeal last year when he was sentenced to life for the murder of Zargar, as well as another murder, an attempted murder and several other crimes. In court on Wednesday, however, S. changed his tune. He wants to give a new statement to "take a different direction" and to "provide as much clarity as possible."

S. also wants to go to the Pieter Baan Centrum, a psychiatric observation clinic in Utrecht as well. The 21-year-old Farida Zargar was killed in a forest near Spijkenisse. A few months prior, this was also the location of the murder of 43-year-old Nanda Kerklaan, for which S. is also being condemned. S. admits that he was present at the murder, but says that he is not the murderer. Patrick S. is also being connected to several other murders in the region around Rotterdam. S. denied any association with these. "There are so many lies spread about me. I am being blamed for so many other things, but it is absolutely untrue."
