NAM receives 14,000 damage reports
The Dutch Oil Company (NAM) received 14,000 damage reports since the earthquake in Huizinge in August 2012, announce the company during a meeting about gas drilling in the townhouse in Groningen, where experts updated city council and provincial council members. The NAM has paid out €50 million in damages between August 16 2012 (the day of the heavy earthquake in Huizinge) and December 31, 2013.
Minister Kamp anticipates a total of €250 million euros in damages over the next five years, due to gas drilling.
