Owner finds stolen bike through Facebook

Benten Wijnen bought a stolen bike from a drug addict for 20 euros and placed a picture on Facebook in an attempt to find the rightful owner. While filming on site for the BNN show "De Social Club," his own bike was stolen. Wijnen posted a picture of the stolen bike on Facebook, and over 1,200 "shares" later it came to the attention of the rightful owner, Jos, or rather a co-worker of Jos, who brought it to Jos' attention.

Jos has gotten the bike as a gift from his daughters, but had neglected to lock it when he walked his dog. Upon return on the Handboogstraat, the bike had been stolen. Wijnen en Jos were set up to meet on location, which would be filmed for the BNN show "De Social Club," but just before the meeting, Wijnen's bike was stolen. He too had neglected to lock his bike. The benefactor refused a reward for returning the bike.
