Rowdy passenger diverts plane to schiphol

An aircraft traveling from Scandinavia to Great Britain was diverted to Schiphol Sunday afternoon, after a passenger became too much to handle up in the air.

The Marechaussee reports this morning that the 27-year-old man from Sweden caused a lot of nuisance on board the aircraft. He stole alcohol from the flight attendant’s trolleys and pelted an object at someone. The captain decided it was safer to divert to the nearest airport, which happened to be Schiphol. By the time the aircraft got here, Marechaussee officers were waiting to take the man into custody. He was clearly under the influence of alcohol. The officers also arrested a second passenger, but he later turned out not to have been involved in the misbehavior. While the aircraft resumed its flight to Great Britain at 15.50pm, the rowdy Swede was held back to answer to a judge. The captain has filed a complaint against him.
