Young boy found dead in Amersfoort

Police, responding to a report around 16:30 Friday afternoon, found the body of a boy in a home on the Noorderlicht in Amersfoort. They also found a wounded woman in the house, who was taken to a hospital by ambulance. The house was immediately secured for investigation. The woman, his 47-year-old mother, was moved from the home with the help of fire fighters, and taken to the hospital, according to the police. Police have questioned the father and stress he is not a suspect, according to NOS. It is unknown whether he lived at the same address. A research lab has been stationed by the house, according to local media. The mayor of Amersfoort, Lucas Bolsius, expressed concern about the condition of the woman.
