Cop bitten in botched burglary
Police arrested three burglars Wednesday night in Utrecht. One officer had to go to a hospital for treatment after he was bitten by one of the suspects.Around 20:05 a report came in of a burglary on Tesselschadestraat. When the police arrived at the scene they saw three men fleeing toward the Croeselaan.

The police only managed to arrest one of the suspects, a 28-year-old male, who fiercely resisted his arrest and bit the officer restraining him in his upper arm. The two other suspects, 35 and 32-years old, managed to get away, but were arrested only a little while later on the Vondellaan. All three suspects were Utrecht locals. Police found a weapon at the scene of the arrest, possibly belonging to one of the suspects. All suspects are in custody. Police are investigating the case. The police officer who was bitten was taken to the hospital for treatment.
