Grandpa chases off burglar

A burglar who broke into a home on the Kasteellaan in Heerlen in the night from Saturday to Sunday, was caught in the act by the 89-year-old resident. The resident suffered minor injuries to his arm in the struggle that followed and was treated on site by paramedics. At some point during the struggle the burglar managed to get away, and fled towards the Meezenbroeker road. The police are investigating the incident. burglar,

Flickr Police are looking for witnesses who have information about the burglary, of about the intruder, based on a description. The burglar was light-skinned with short, dark hair, probably 30-35 years old and 5.6" tall. He was dressed in dark clothes and wore white shoes. Anyone with information that can help the police solve this case is called upon to call 0900-8844 or 0800-7000 (anonymously).
