Ikea accused of labor exploitation

Trade unions FNV and BTB AVV accuse Ikea in the Netherlands and Belgium of labor repression and exploitation of foreign drivers, reported the “Algemeen Dagblad”(AD).The stores are outsourcing their stocking to foreign parties, mostly Slovak and Bulgarian drivers, who earn only a quarter of what local drivers would cost, state the Unions. Previously the stocking was done by local drivers. 'The unions want Ikea to stop the repression of healthy employment and again provide real jobs with normal working conditions and a stable income,' said FNV and BTB AVV.
