Dutch buyers make 15.9 mln debit card payments

On weekend before Christmas, Dutch shoppers made 15.9 million payments through debit and credit cards, according to Payments Association Netherlands. Debit Card / Wikipedia In total, 11.8 million debit card payments were made on Saturday, four days before Christmas, website Nu.nl reports. On Sunday, more than 4.1 million transactions were made. The busiest time was on Saturday when 457 transactions processed every second between 14:30 and 15:00, according to the association.
