30 years wanted for hotel killer

The Public Prosecution demanded thirty years imprisonment, Wednesday, before the court in Den Bosch against the suspect of the hotel murder in Tilburg. Twice before the prosecution had demanded a life sentence against the 45-year-old Marco de K. Marco de K. shot and killed his 22-year-old girlfriend, Kelly, in a hotel room in Tilburg. The Supreme Court subsequently ruled the case had to be reopened, because the evidence that the murder was planned, was not sufficiently motivated. As the court previously ruled there is no justification for a life sentence, the prosecution did not repeat their demand, Wednesday. However, the seriousness of the case, de consequences and the unpredictable nature of the suspect justify a maximum prison sentence, according to the attorney general Wednesday.
