Plasterk rejects 'Caribbean pass'

Minister Plasterk sees nothing in the plan of the VVD to introduce a modified passport for residents of Curaçao, Aruba, and St. Maarten, as suggested by MP Bosman today. It would still be a Dutch passport, but on the outside the origin of the bearer would be visible, according to Bosman. This would make it easier for municipalities to see whether additional licensing conditions are required.
