Five Pot Nurseries Busted

The police closed on Tuesday five cannabis nurseries in Veendam, Wildervank and Oude Pekela. In total eleven people were arrested by the police. The largest plantation was in a former bicycle shop at the J. Kamminga Street in Wildervank. There the police found 725 plants and 23 kilograms of harvested hemp. When officers entered, five people were busy cutting the ripe harvest hemp tops, the police said. In Oude Pekela were 500 plants in the Feiko Clock Street and nearly another 200 in De Kwekerij. Also in Veendam the police found cannabis nurseries. All found nurseries are destroyed.
