Ajax was leading AZ Alkmaar (2-1) after an hour when Ricardo van Rhijn was given a red card. Aron Johannsson tied the match from the penalty. Alkmaar had several opportunities ahead of Viktor Elm’s winning goal. Meanwhile, Feyenoord was beaten by FC Twente (4-1) in Rotterdam.
