No Smoking Anywhere

From July 1, 2014, people in the hospitality industry will no longer be allowed to smoke according to the Secretary of the State of Public Health, Martin van Rijn. He hopes a stronger social norm will help push reforms because there is not much money for monitoring. RTL.nl reported that the ban on smoking in bars and restaurants was valid in 2008, but a year later the court decided to allow smoking in small bars without staff. Years of discussion about the issue followed. Total prohibition should bring an end to this.
